Turn on your PS3 and select the 'PlayStation Network' in the 'XMB' menu screen. With PS3 controller, use the analog stick to scroll to the 'PlayStation Network.' Under 'PlayStation Network,' select 'PlayStation Store.'
Wait for the 'PlayStation Store' to open, and using the analog stick on the controller, scroll down to 'Games' and then 'PS3 Games.'
Choose the 'PS3' game that you want to download and add the game to your shopping cart.
Open your 'Shopping Cart.' Inside the 'Shopping Cart' you are given three main options: 'delete,' 'continue shopping' and 'proceed to checkout.' If you are satisfied with your selection, then choose the 'proceed to checkout' option.
Wait for the PS3 game to download from the PlayStation Network. After the game has been successfully downloaded, the game will be displayed in the XMB menu screen under 'Games.'
Install the PS3 game. With the downloaded game highlighted, press the 'X' button on your PS3 controller to install the game. Once the game has been installed, your new PS3 game will be ready to play.
Tip
You can only download video games if your PS3 is activated with a PlayStation Network account.

Copying a game
Use (Content Manager) to copy the game application from the PS3™ system to your system. For details, see 'Copying and deleting games and other applications using a PS3™ system'.
When copying is complete, the game icon appears on the home screen.
- You can only copy games that have been downloaded from (PlayStation®Store) to the PS3™ system but have not been installed.
On the PS3™ system, games that can be copied to your system are displayed as (Data downloaded to the hard disk) under (Game). - If a game is already installed on the PS3™ system, download it again from PlayStation®Store, and then copy it to your system before installing it on your PS3™ system.
On the PS3™ system, games that can be downloaded again are listed when you select Download List in (PlayStation®Store). Check that (Data downloaded to the hard disk) appears for the game, and then copy it. - An alternative to downloading a game using a PS3™ system and then copying it to your system is to download the game directly using your system.
Select (PS Store) > [Start] > (Options) > [Download List]. Select the game that you want to download, and then select [Download]. - Some games cannot be copied from the PS3™ system to your system, or cannot be downloaded using your system.
Playing a copied game
